Stack Auth Updates #16 - Webhook Testing, ChatGPT support, Payments Updates

Webhook Testing

We’ve introduced new tools to make testing and implementing webhooks easier than ever. When configuring webhooks in the dashboard, you can now send test events, view improved logs, and access additional debugging features.

ChatGPT MCP Integration

If you use ChatGPT, you can now integrate the Stack Auth MCP to enable deep search and conversational functionality. Follow the setup instructions below to get started.

To get started setting up Stack Auth MCP in ChatGPT, go to chatgpt.com and go to your settings. Under Apps and Connectors, click “Create” in the top right corner. Give the tool a name, such as “Stack Auth MCP”. The URL should be set to:
https://mcp.stack-auth.com/api/internal/mcp

Authentication is not required to use our MCP.

Setting up Stack Auth MCP on ChatGPT


Now, when using ChatGPT, you can click the + in your chat, select … More in the dropdown, and select the Stack Auth MCP for context.

Note: You will have to enable Developer mode to add our MCP. This can be done in Apps and Connectors, scroll down to Advanced settings, and enable Dev mode.

Payments Transactions Table

A complete refresh of the payments transactions table is now available in the dashboard under Payments. This view now provides more comprehensive insights into every processed payment.

Bug fixes & improvements

As always, we pushed several bug fixes and minor improvements this week, including:

  • Local dev environments now have a dummy project with example data

  • Fixed broken App icons

  • Fixed a bug where updating domains would return a 5xx error in rare cases

  • Added links to auth provider docs from the dashboard

  • Updated launch checklist; Improved Design

  • Some docs pages moved to support new Apps section

  • Dashboard now shows total number of Anonymous users in the Users page
